The Pittsburgh Wine Festival is proud to partner with Pete Hanowich of the Chaine des Rotisseurs Bailliage de Pittsburgh to present unique and informative wine seminars at every interest level-- from beginner to intermediate to collector’s fantasy wine events! The year-long program has commenced during Pittsburgh Wine Festival Week 2008 and is continuing now.

Each seminar will have something for all levels of interest and each Seminar will have a number of different wines to try!!

Just getting started with wines? We’ll help show you the way. Beyond the basics? We’ll offer ways to expand your repertoire. Been at it for a while? We’ll have sessions to build on your expertise.

Lively informal discussions. Educational, informative and fun! Leave the intimidation aspects of wine at the door.

Handouts, tasting notes and PLCB numbers / prices will be provided.

Summer Wines are a selection of “Warm Weather Wines.” It will soon be approaching the peak of summer and you’ve got a lot of summer entertaining ahead of you. But what kind of unique wines will you serve?

Try some new, light crisp wines for your Summer Parties. Low cost, interesting Whites and Reds for your guests and friends. So come and enjoy a number of “Summer Wines.”

Wines that your friends may not be familiar with. Affordable wines that you can use to impress your friends during your summer entertainment.

Pinot Noir – The Other Great Red Wine

Although Pinot Noir is widely considered to produce some of the finest wines in the world, it is also one of the most difficult to grow and make into wine. Once made however, some consider it one of the most versatile food pairing wine.

Come and understand how words like exquisite and hedonistic can be used with fickle and temperamental when describing a wine. Come and taste the differences between Pinot Noirs from California, Oregon, France and New Zealand.
