Duckhorn Wine Co.
Dan Duckhorn, a northern California native, earned two degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. In 1960 he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with emphasis on corporate finance, and, two years later, a master's degree in Business Administration.
He had a career in business that began in the early 1960's. He was the first graduate of Crocker Citizens National Bank MBA training program. In 1971, he became President of Vineyard Consulting Corporation, which was engaged in viticulture consulting, vineyard management, and grapevine propagation. Learning the wine business from the soil up, Dan established Duckhorn Vineyards in 1976.
